Unto Violence Poem by Randy McClave

Unto Violence

Unto violence I will not adhere
I will not ever live in fear,
Of my neighbors or of strangers I won't be scared
Into the eyes of God I have stared,
So, from dread I will not shed a tear.

Unto violence I will not need a gun
And you won't ever see me hide or run,
I need no weapon at my side
Without one I will not ever quake or hide.
Over fear I have already won.

Unto any violence I will never accept
Weapons or fear I have never kept,
Of no person am I afraid
Into fear or cowardice I will never wade.
Those feelings I have swept.

Unto violence I will not ever cry
My freedom no-one can ever deny,
My life and my destiny is in the hands of God
I can't be frightened with your rod.
Only once can I die.
