Untitled Piece Poem by Nick Veasey

Untitled Piece

Everything you see before you now,
From skinny arms to furrowed brow,
Judge me not, for what you don't see,
Is the passion that fills me and drives me to be.

Never will I bend,
Never will I break,
Doubting me is your biggest mistake

The world is my witness,
As I am set free,
Becoming all that I aim, truly to be.

The world against me,
I shall succeed,
I'll never give up,
Until I am freed.

Pain is my power,
My struggle runs deep.
I continue to strive,
As the rest of you sleep.

I shall always continue,
Always shall I fight,
From sun risen morning,
Through the blackness of the night.

And once I am finished,
Let the world remember me,
As everything I hoped for,
Eternally free.
