Untitled Poem by Rebecca Roeder

Untitled

Dark halos float above us
And an ominous presence-much like death- manifests.
As the rain falls in pools,
You look into it,
And your reflection begins to morph.
Dark visions manifest themselves.
You’re standing there shivering,
Frostbitten, and unable to move.
You’re too frightened to call for help
For the forest beholds a dark treasure,
One of limitless wealth.
Wolves guard it in packs
Hungry as ever, they sniff out blood
Your screams would do nothing but call them forth.
Silent, you’re standing there frozen
Looking to the mystical sky
The moon is shining eerily
As you’re about to die.
A god appears dressed in black
As you follow, there’s no turning back
As he’s bidding you to follow him
He tells you about them;
The Demon God,
The Pantheon,
The Four Crown Princes of Hell.
Now you know the dark, guarded secret…
You’re on the land of the Pantheon of Gods!
