dangerous days are up ahead
possibly already here
I watch you from a distance
I call you to come a bit near

why do you struggle so
in your heart and in your soul
where will you be in five years

time seems to slide by too fast
with an absence here at your door
it seems there's no answer
we all want so much more

why do you struggle so
in your body and in your soul
where will you be in five weeks
when indecision bites

it strikes without pause
can you make it another day
will you take up your cause

why do you struggle so
in your heart and in your soul
where will you be in five days

I'll take you in for comfort
I'll give you what I have
to ease your needs and hurts
to try and make you laugh

I don't want to see you struggle so
I want to see peace in your heart and your soul
I can be with you in just five minutes
To take your pain away…
