Unseen Poem by R.M. Wright

Unseen

It’s raining again
Funny that, how it rains when we cry
Where do we stand in the greater plan?
How do we know if we aren’t seen?

Loneliness grabs all at one time or another
Pain has become our best friend
Seeking solace in meaningless romances
Changing partners when we’re bored

Where do we stand in the greater plan?
How do we know if we aren’t seen?
How do we know that this is the one?
We ask, is this the one for me?

Life is a dance of intricate steps
I lead you lead we part our ways
I breathe deep your soul
You drink in mine

We spend our moments together
We spend our time, so precious that time
But where do we stand in the greater plan?
How do we know if we aren’t seen?

How do we know?
The world is so fast now, so quick
Instant answers on the inter-net
Speeding that time, why?

Rush through the day
Come to one another at night
We dance again but do we know?
Are we right?

Where do we stand in the greater plan?
How do we know when we’re not seen?
How do we know we’re made for one another?
Real love isn’t like on the silver screen.

Do you trust your heart?
Do you trust mine?
Are you the one destined for me?
Or has she walked by, unseen?
