Unseen Love Poem by Jerry Akporhor

Unseen Love

Putting to words the love I nursed towards you will only diminish the depth of my affection,
Like the wind, I can't grasp it, but it echoes deep within my soul.

You have infected me with a chronic heart overbeat, a sickness I welcome with open arms,
My emotions are on overload; my heart races a thousand beats per second when you're near.

As time ebbs and flows, our thoughts and feelings may change,
But if I were to live a million lifetimes, I'd choose to love you over and over again.

You reside within my spirit, a constant presence in my life, If this feeling is love, then I implore you to pour me another glass.

Oh, this indescribable feeling of love that transcends all boundaries,
It may be unseen, but it echoes throughout my being, eternally resounding.
