Unruffled State Poem by Obinna Kenechukwu Eruchie

Unruffled State

I dwell with calm
In touching peace,
Lie as still in
Serenity.
Such is silence
That emits bliss
To pacify me
In time cool with
Relaxation,
Tames my mind in
Tranquility.

Quiet my mind is
To be composed,
Stay in repose.
Now harmony
Is in control,
Rest now I can
With sheer accord
To continue
To synchronize
With my mind eased.

Peacefulness vast
Came to settle
To live in me.
To resolve me
To respire well,
To arrange me
To be static-
Linger in mind
To subdue haste
And embrace strength.

As I abide
With tolerance
Now I delight
To dance With pleasure
To attract hush
And take a break
Fitful as heaven,
The dream-land known
As paradise
Found in cloud nine.
