Unravel Poem by Shruti Goswami

Unravel

Whether I didn't or I couldn't
Is a matter that could be resolved
Whether or not
Anybody did it, or didn't is yet
Another entirely different matter,
Even though I didn't, what I could
Or I couldn't, what I did
Everyone agreed
Unanimously
These are delirious words
Spoken in illness.
Whether I could've been
Delirious when I didn't try
Or I did try to be
And I couldn't, I don't know why
Knowing that there is method in madness
And your poor deducing powers
Now tested to the full
Your brain or peanut exhausted
You fall into a lull
I venture out and find
Newer methods
To baffle you
Even make you wonder
Where's the poetry gone
That waxes eloquent?
This is no pleasant sunshine
Just some dirty rain and thunder!
I shall find a new method
Every time
You attempt to unravel
The nuances hidden
In the lines
In between
Strewn like sand and gravel
And those that should only be felt
Those unfortunate moments
That never took shape.
