Unmerciful Agony Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Unmerciful Agony

Living and dying over and over in this earthly life, no choices
seeming possible as voices of the past continue to weep on the
other side of death's black curtains.

Unable to reach beyond them and be consoled, there's just no
way to alleviate the pain and sorrow left behind after death
takes away the love of our life.

Holding onto the memories, cherishing and treasuring them as
they continue to haunt and taunt us with an unmerciful agony
for the remainder of our lives, sometimes bringing joy, yet
mostly bittersweet memories are the results.
