Sinking sun tells of it's coming
To swallow and ingest the world
Subtly slow it conquers day
A silent mystery unfurls
Glittering glow of suns afar
A galactic array so vast
God's grace has spoken to all
His glorious handicraft
Worlds whirling in gravity swing
They whisper of life's venture
Wondrous wisdom made them go
To what end we must conjecture
Cruising comets, shooting stars
And colliding planets abound
Clusters, cepheids, and many things
A cosmic delight is found
And another thought comes to mind
That alien life should it be
Are able to think just the same
About a distant life like me
Looking long upon this wonder
I'm lost in awe and I marvel
Lovely light O' lovely night
Our Lord shown to be quite artful
Universe
