Unfaithful Departed Poem by Peter Nwadike

Unfaithful Departed

Like a raindrop to an ocean,
I lost a friend to the ground;
He never knew what was coming on,
Till his heart swayed too loud;
Joining the billions of galactic stars,
But sending thy rays from under the ground;
Thy companions welcome thee from afar,
In the ninth circle of that sacred land.

Till we see you on the other side,
Above the rein and time's tide;
Where no cold can greet your soul,
And the warmth of the fire makes you whole.

If you're not in heaven then where did you go?
The Red Planet seems good to start a new life;
Smiling and rejoicing with pains in rows,
‘Tis the beginning of the end of an everlasting life;
Where screaming can be done in silence,
And gnashing of teeth to make beautiful music;
Because you followed and acted in obedience,
Thy future in eternity remains bleak.

Till we see you on the other side,
Above the reins and time's tide;
Where no cold can greet your soul,
And the warmth of the fire makes you whole.

Had I known, the product of your good deeds,
For many years will this story be told;
Helping the poor in will, catering to their needs,
A sacred faith traded for gold;
Now bathing in the sweet scent of sulphur,
Ornamented with precious Brimstone;
But you know nothing of that endless torture,
Of singing to the one on the throne.

Till we see you on the other side,
Above the reins and time's tide;
Where no cold can greet your soul,
And the warmth of the fire makes you whole.
