Under Merciless Sun Poem by Toshie Nohara

Under Merciless Sun

Long hours under merciless sun's heat, beads of perspiration streaming
down soaking shirt, face glowing like coal, mouth dry as desert longing for water, eyes straining, hands busy plowing the rice field;
striving to earn a living, five mouths to feed; a full responsibility.
