Under A Tree Poem by Michael Peterson

Under A Tree

Sitting in a chair under a tree
All alone in peace and quiet
A bird here and there
Sounds of nature flurry around
Beautiful sky just above
Floating clouds here and there
The smell of country air
Some of it not too fair
All on a summer's day
Chilling to the sounds around
Waiting for the time to end
But enjoying every minute of it
Reading and writing about the times
From the past to the present
Just under a tree
Just me and you
Listening to the sounds
Enjoying the sun
One last time
Just under a tree
