The Tick Of Time Poem by Michael Peterson

The Tick Of Time

Rating: 4.0

As time ticks away
Life goes on fast
From babies to the elders
As we aged so fast
Time keeps on ticking
Hour by hour
Day by day
We forget to enjoy the time we have
Busy working, playing, fighting, loving
Never really enjoying the moments
That life has given us
Take the time to stop and breathe
Take in the scenery and who you're with
Precious moments can last forever
But we will never last
Time ticks away second by second
Never telling us, our time will end
Suddenly the ticks are less
Time running out, way too fast
Wishing for more
Getting way less
Enjoy the time we have together
Time ticks away, so quickly
So painful it ends too fast
Take the time to be with others
Live every moment like it's the last
Brings happiest and love
Sharing time with every tick
Then time will seem like it will never end
One tick at a time
