Unanswered Questions 'Mother' Poem by Katy Tuten

Unanswered Questions 'Mother'

Why must you scream at me?
What have I done to earn your wrath?
MY name you screech as he
Decieves you, he guides you down this narrow path

Why must you abuse yourself, take your life away?
All I wanted was to be loved
Why couldn't you love me and care, why did you have to go astray?
Why did you leave me alone to be pushed and shoved?

Why did you tell me I would be better off on the streets?
Did you ever think of the consequences developed?
Did you think I would be better off every time life repeats?
As lust drowns you, you become enveloped

Swallowed by the depths of your fears
Why is this such a surprise?
Why do you choose now to unleash your tears?
My whole life was full of lies

Why must you try and fix this?
It's to late now, you've had your chance
Your life has become a spiriling abyss
No more tears one last dance.
