Ultima Poem by Scott McQueen

Ultima

Eons in my mind have passed
Gazing into her eyes
My prize is simply seeing her
Her friendship's my demise

Mockingbirds have yet to sing
With beauty like her voice
But I'd erase her from my memory
If I ever had the choice

Her eyes make all gems jealous
For they've never seen such a hue
I wish I saw but black and white
I wish I never knew

The heavens have seen no beauty
Like that which is her soul
The despair that this has brought me
Is like that of a black hole
