Two Worlds - Two Hearts Poem by Jona PoloRamirez

Two Worlds - Two Hearts

'We should not let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes.'
John F. Kennedy

Two hearts, each from an opposite world
Perfectly in touch but destiny twirled,
Too late for change, half century reigned
Deify a heart, a possibility may win.
Two great hearts are set free, not meant for destiny
Content in each own world, a sincere give away.

The goodness of the heart - always aglow
The surest thing my life will always know,
The love that we give, a testimony, a reverie
Assured by my heart that has spoken to me,
The doubts unfounded, let us face reality
True feelings - a window to what is really me.

A man-made world - our ambitions a drive
Yet an itinerate mind perceives a divide,
A mind from outside foresees a decline
Before it's too late, let the truth be mine.
The vibrating wind blowing from within
The feel of the breeze, a sting to my brown colored skin.

The parch in our hearts the longing emerged
But distance had purged our heart's desire to converge.
In our opposite world our horizons extends
Unreachable dreams the impossible reigns.
Two sad hearts reached out, derspair in ones heart
A pain, a counterpart, a willingness to opt out.

We both have our world though our dreams once spun
Oneness in our hearts but the distance has won,
A wide dividing range in a marine of clouds
Fearless birds spread their wings and loved without doubts,
These words I had spun out of the recesses of my heart
A solid reminder of a love in our mind's walkabout.

So walk away, walk away to a distant far away land
Our desire and destiny are in an opposite distant land
Mine walk is just for now, fearless and forward...
I'll take it from here one day at a time...
