Two Sides That Are Around The Ukraine Poem by Gert Strydom

Two Sides That Are Around The Ukraine

I
In a crisis that could lead to world war three
it's a skew image that a person gets from the Americans:

the president is far weaker than Neville Chamberlain,
a man behind whose stuttering any promises disappear:

to back-fill the Polish air-force with American fighters,
that he reveals as an escalation to world war three:

why the fighter pilots of the Ukraine cannot fly them in,
nobody can know at this time as people are lying,

but what is behind this is that it's Russian fighters,
where pilots of the Ukraine are trained in them no one can miss,

the politicians in America want it to be American fighters,
you will be aware of this if you do very carefully read the Financial Times:

where American contractors want money first,
before America says yes to Polish intentions,

where the F-16's are meant to go to Taiwan
and against a major force the Ukraine stands alone,

when the vice-president laughs at destitute people
and millions of people await their death at the hands of the Russians:

where there had been more nuclear weapons in the Ukraine than Russia,
which they gave up when America promised to protect them in such a war.

II
On the other side a person can reconcile Putin with the Satan,
when the Russians constantly do sinister things:

they call a cease-fire, plant landmines on those routes in every direction
and shoot at civilians on these routes of escape,

read carefully what the International Red-Cross says about this,
if you want to have the true facts of this picture.

On the biggest nuclear-power plant there is shot
and it is taken, together with Chernobyl

and without maintenance and constant functioning it is fatal:
the Russians can determine a yet bigger disaster when they want to.

On hospitals with children, schools and citizens are fired,
in a slaughtering of the innocent that no one can stand,

as battle-tanks drive over cars and the people are cut off from power and water,
where a person keeps getting the subhuman image of the Russians,

where their normal attack tenuous now come to be,
to with canons, missiles and tanks bomb the hell out of the citizens,

until nothing but rubble, corpses and blood stains remains
and a stronger American president could have avoided all of this.
