Two Rings Poem by Shannon Paterson

Two Rings

Rating: 4.3

Two rings and a promise to love eternally
set off across the ocean
to see what they might see
Beneath the warmth
of sunny summer skies
into the winters cold and starry nights
Across dark and stormy seas
up steep and lonely mountain sides
At times it seemed all hope was lost
vanished like the tide
They held on
with all their might
waiting for sunrise
And with it came
weathered by the storms
Two rings
a promise unbroken
And love
that had somehow managed to survive
