Two Limes Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Two Limes

Rating: 5.0

Two limes

Looking at the two limes
In water, in the bowl,
Refreshes good old times.

In them see teenager,
Living life of devil…

No mountain, no river,
Could relax, if was there.

Compared me classmates,
With two famous actors,
An Indian, a German…

To some was Raj Kapoor
To others, Horst Buchholz.

Used to wear my hair long,
Black, dark, desert's night.

Avalanche of the age
Blizzard on my head,
What remains is silver.

On and off, talks mirror,
It blinks, plays games.

Talks to me of castle
For the life's final days.

But all my stories
Came by doing what I did.

Need a Native elder
To define and compare
Present with gone days.

As did Goliath and David,
I built this history,
Must leave it for the kids,
Both verbal and writing.
