Two Apples Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Two Apples

Two apples

Had I been in nature
-in forest or jungle,
-in a cave or desert
-not city, anywhere;
-might throw them away.

They would be food or soil
-for lovely Mother-Earth
- (one of her children.)

But here, in city,
-acted to de-freeze
-cut, slice making chunks
-then boiled them…

Soon will eat preserved
-de-frozen apples…

This is part I play
-to respect our mother
-the Lovely-Mother-Earth.

I try to avoid making waste
-most of which in winter
-is buried underneath
-white snow, befallen;
-now dirty or clean,
-to surface whenever
-the weather is warmer
-and snow is melted…

Others, like the parents of
-Humbold accident
-forgive young driver
-who killed their children
-in a bad accident
- (unwanted!)

Many fight corruption
-opposing governments'
-officials (corrupted!)
