And so it is...
2000 year old secret
Revealed in the bruising of skin
A brutally barbaric coronation - clothed with humiliation
Carried out before masses baying for blood

And you kept silent in that moment of unrivalled solitude
To know such pain in the absence of guilt
The One whom You lived to please turned His face

Risen, You give meaning to my faith
You lend truth to my assertions
Innocence cleansing the seat of Mercy with a Lamb's blood

I marvel at your sacrifice...
