Truth Poem by Peggy Chau

Truth

is what the teachers tell,
is what the textbooks say,
is what the parents yell,
and what the professors claim.

is what most people confirm,
is where the trend goes,
is what the authority stays firm,
and what the majority think right.

not questions students ask,
nor queries students have,
can’t be what kids ask,
and shouldn’t be undergraduates’ thoughts.

isn’t the fewer people’s side,
isn’t the opposite direction,
perhaps is what the dissidents hide,
but can’t be the minority’s mind.

Is that right?
