True Love That Was Gone Poem by Abdullahi Nashe

True Love That Was Gone

Infatuation or was it true LOVE
True LOVE or was it Infatuation
All the same it was like a dream

Infatuation can quickly fade
But true LOVE can linger for long
With true LOVE it can injure
The young heart that blends

True LOVE turns a mirage
So near yet so far
Like a bird in the sky
That blends in the distance far

If LOVE is truly true
Mine will never be a mirage
That keeps me always hoping
May be tomorrow will bring us
Together again and forever
