The Final Hell Poem by Abdullahi Nashe

The Final Hell

Hell in this world
Only air to keep afloat
Though free but transmitting pollutants
Without a care from who should care
Children still cry
Adding pain to already confused habitat
Parents burning like inflamed logs
Poverty adding fuel
Jobs in the distance far
Youth seeking solace from prohibited
With their cards in their left hands
Condemn prisoners they seem
In a paradise turning hell
Scavenging food without ending
Killing, maiming and raping
Maize, Millet, Yam gone
Rice now turning gold
Affording few
Hunger thirst we can't avoid
Hoping it is final hell on earth
