Treatment Of My Stray Soul Poem by Abdul Wahab

Treatment Of My Stray Soul

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I wonder
What a strange thing it is that happened to my soul
It does not listen to me as a child does not to its mother
I talked to myself a bit yet I could not make it work
I thought I got to get it repaired
So I visited to a doctor who is expert in love
What he told me all is nothing but absurd
I returned with a broken heart and looked very perturbed
I went crazy and booked an astrologer
Nothing could he able to tell me to faze my soul but all rubbish
Defeated I sat on the couch and looked at the mirror
And called the reflection to ask him if he could treat my soul
What he said, after listening them I went into tears
Too rusted was my soul and around it gathered too much dirt
And how foolish I was and for long how I did not notice
All went wrong and my soul urgently in needs to be nourished
Now you might be thinking what I would do and how
Why, do you not get a world around you?
Look at the flowers or at the laughter of your friends
Or see the beauty in how your mother bakes bread
Beauty is everywhere; it is in a song,
in a poem, in a job well done
And you know nature is in the habit of making beauty
Enjoy it tenderheartedly and nourish your soul
I do it and I think I never went wrong.
