Traversing The Universe Barefoot

Her heart hangs, she says,
in some place in the void.

And in order to find
the first thread
of her red dress,
she must traverse on foot
the solar system.

Edith Sodergran,
a Finnish poet writing in Swedish,
was born in Russia 
(Saint Petersburg,1892) .

She was also a photographer,
influenced by a variety
of cultural trends,
including French Symbolism.
Russian Futurism
and German Expressionism.

Sodergran died aged 31
of tuberculosis.

Sodergran died aged 31 of tuberculosis and this was a very sad news. Her photography ha given amazing perception to the photo lovers. Starting from French Symbolism to Russian Futurism and German Expressionism, she had given amazing touch. This poem makes us emotional. May soul rest in peace! ..5 stars...
