This is the bus to nowhere transporting
spirit ever since awry willpower bowed
who are all these people here for what
have we this quorum of ideas this purpose
taking root in personalities of the spirit loss
good ones here and there for sure but I may
leave shortly for the terminal stop dead ahead
I hear by public address announcement
before embarking by coach class finding voice
so preciously defiant and instilled as though
all the while repent as of the gift
Oh the fields and hills of Arlington
how we respect the graves of unknown time
come good judgement to judge only opportune
times whether to go to war in Iraq with clear
plans to govern a peace as well as victory
militarily but further make good judgment
that sends the best men and their best
military quick strike and withering
power of assurgency to destroy the enemy’s
latent terror in honor of the return home
of the healthy psyche of armless youth
for spiritual identity soon pays the fare.
