Transition Poem by Justin Tallman

Transition

living in the negative
soon enough
the horizon will show clouds
in the right idea
all things
will come together
like a biblical
reference

The pieces
of a puzzle
will display a picture
painted by Da Vinci
called
Mona Lisa

All smiling
with the smiles
that define
optimism
and erasing
letters
rewriting
in crayon

How the colors
bring out life
guiding to the ocean
dulling
the knife

Now
we come together
and now
we hold our hands

Now
we carry oceans
and now
we plan to stand

Singing out
our subtractions
so we can dig
and hope to add

For some reason the stanza talking about Mona Lisa gave me a picture of you teaching a future generation... I cannot describe it. But good job!
