Touch By A Living Tree Poem by Rinchen Dhendup

Touch By A Living Tree

Rating: 3.0

I merely touched a tree,
Touched the raspy bark of the tree.
No typical feeling aroused,
Rather concluded as rugged barked tree.

Yet again I touched the tree.
This time I unlocked my soul.
Remarkable was the touch then.
The touch was by and of the tree.

A moment I was lost
Lost in the world of the tree
Life was fascinatingly common thing we had
Typical was the form

Completely lost in the world of the tree
I perceived a welcome to the world of the tree
May be I was yearning to explore a mystery
But my empathy couldn’t reach the tree

No sooner I heard a call
Call breaking off the touch with my friend
Though I had to immediately turn
I had a lot, a lot to learn.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Actually inspired by my poetry module tutor when we(my class) were on out visit to a nearby rock garden (park) and I came up with this particular tactile poem.
