Torment To Your Fantasies Poem by Paulina Martin

Torment To Your Fantasies

You have created an illusion
Built up a world made of fiction
You made your 'Happily Ever After'
Just to replace your real life's disaster

You have made a castle, unbeatable to the core
You have made a kingdom for everyone to adore
You do everything that is necessary to restore
The laughs and joy of your life that is a bore

It was pretty impressing, how you made it all up
They think you're amazing, I think you're a stickup
To believe in all such fickle nonesense
To create those fairytales just for defence

You cant accpet that life isnt fair
You can never search for something that isnt there
Fairygodmothers wont come to your rescue
Probably most people dont care about you

You get lost in your world of magic
You hide behind your walls of brick
You cant understand the world of reality
You cant accept that the lamp is empty

Genie wont come, Peter Pan will grow old
King Myda's touch did not become gold
The slipper didnt fit, Sleeping Beauty did not wake
The Prince Charming and Fairies, they have all been fake

Can you grasp that, it will all vanish in a blink of an eye?
Can you think about it, just before you cry?
They're not real, they dont really exist
Shut up your mouth before you think I'm a pessimist
