Too Real Poem by Alyssa Rieper

Too Real

Red blood spills to the floor
No energy to reach the door
An aching pain fills me inside
Behind my bed, I kneel to hide
Blaring sirens fill my ears
I know it holds my greatest fear
The minute hand circles the clock
Tears fall down, body starts to rock
Everything around me changes to black
Monsters appear and prepare to attack
The floors and walls all turn to grates
Bloody and rusty, sense terrible hate
I am all alone, desperate to scream
This is way too real to be a dream…
