Too Late Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Too Late

Too late

Filled is the Media
-with kind words…

They comfort and condole
-but all are wind in air
-they play lips' movements
-and is late, very late…

Too many have been killed
-too many are wounded…

On ground lay the dead
-of varied backgrounds
-Christian, Jew, Muslim
-and other religions…
-and beliefs and cultures…

What a beast and savage
-is mankind, human…

Look around to mother
-of valleys and rivers
-of plains and deserts
-of cliffs and oceans…

Look and see what we did
-we choked, killed,
-killed, killed, killed…

Enslaved men, women
-endangered now and then
-whatever, whatever
-we saw, reached
-could obtain…

Man is shame!
Man is shame!
Man is shame!

World is safe
-when man ends.
