Too Busy Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Too Busy

Rating: 4.8

Excuses are never in low supply
Sorry, I did not call you
I could not find the time
I had a thousand things to do

Heard you were not feeling well
Meant to send a card the other day
Went shopping to buy a pair of shoes
Had several appointments…what can I say?

Got an invitation to go to dinner party
I looked around but did not see you there
Saw a mutual friend and inquired about you
Oh poor soul… she fell down the stairs…

I must call or visit… I promptly blurted
Our friend said, I have something more to say
Her injuries were quite severe and deadly
Unfortunately she passed away just yesterday

We all suffer from this business... you make me realise, once more... that there is more to life... thanks

Very well put, Theresa. We are all guilty of exactly that - procrastination! Thanks for the reminder that it can easily be too late. A '10'! Marilyn
