Together At Last

at last
together
and together
on their dreamed of beach
and for just a few hours
their hearts were tethered
and no longer out of reach
corrugated patterns
on the surf washed sand
smile bathed faces
and sweethearts walking
as they had
so long ago
planned
eyes touched
absorbed each other
drowned and surfaced.
There was no need
for words

'There was no need for words' - Beautifully said. usually under such circumstances, words are redundant.
