Todays Sunshine! Poem by Emma Jane Rae

I took a trip to Southwold,
on this cloudy day,
i was on my own,
and the sky was really grey,
the clouds cast big shadows,
up and down each wall,
i thought the skies would open,
and i would watch the rain fall,
i walked down the high street,
along the stoney path,
and i heard someone,
in the distance laugh,
this nstantly made me smile,
which lasted quite a while,
the man upstairs,
must have seen that smile of mine,
and changed the dark clouds,
for glorious sunshine,
i strolled down to the seaside,
and sat on the wall,
i watched the sunshine beaming,
it was a beautiful day after all!
