Today Poem by Kai Schultz

Today is nothing but a day of woe,
But no one can see it that I can see
I try not to let my emotions show,
I just want people to let me be me.
Today is nothing but a day to cry,
But if i were to leave and go right now
Then no one will ask me the questions why;
someday no one will have to take a bow.
But today doesn't have to be that way,
So down and dull, in the dark of sadness;
To stop the show and walk off of the stage,
E'en if our way of life is in a mess.
Today is nothing but a day to sing.
To think of what tomorrows life will bring.
