To The Death Poem by Apuna Rato

To The Death

Death,
I've heard what people say about you;
They alleged you are too cruel,
They assumed you have no heart.
Some blamed you stole everything they had,
But some believed you took away the anguish.
Not a soul knows when will be your bang;
Some waits too long for your bell,
Some others hates for your toll.
At times, you come in sweet dream,
At times you come in broad day light.
People love you for your compassion,
People hate you for your supremacy.
Death,
You are powerful,
You are merciful,
You are painful.
You are,
Princess to the distressed soul of man,
Prince to the depressed soul of woman.
You are mighty, you are pathetic,
You are conquer, you are slave,
You are doomed, you are blessed.
Oh mighty death! You are not mightier than fate,
Oh powerful death! But you are not powerful as life.
