To Burn Poem by robyn nathan

To Burn

let us not be scared of the fire when walking in the dry crisp forest
the trees peeling,
skin laid like kindling around bare bodies

among these naked revealing moments
let us see the fairies alive in the joy of nature
let us know these other multiplicite dimensions with open eyes
to see beauty and not be afraid to live delta, theta
know all the creatures and elements that make us whole

let us not be so small minded to believe only in our own existence
that threatens like fire,
that we will be consumed untrusting of a transforming,
quick to be fearful

let life greet with open heart
with vision
with voice
fearlessly crossing
and then know compassion
when all is life
then be in unity
let us not be scared to burn....
