To Be Young Again Poem by Michael Peterson

To Be Young Again

Times goes slow when young
Times flies when we get old
Playing from morning till dusk
Lot of musk and mud
Forever to be young again
From skateboards, to bicycles, to playing war
Picking on girls, teasing them to the gills
Fishing down the river, making pacts
How to be so young again
From tags to mag
Racing cars, to earn scars
Winning games, winning hearts
Kissing girls and doing swirls of dance
To be so young again
Remembering all the fun
Now it's time to tell the young ones
What it is to be so young
