To A Cockroach Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

To A Cockroach

To a cockroach

Have taken many notes
-on the sides of the books
-and pages of papers.

Badly in need of some
-that recall, search for them;
-damn papers are silent
-handicap I am and
-can't find them.

Therefore, for my essay
-I must go find other
-books, sources!

This gives me a lesson
- "Dead and Lost are silent, motionless! "

Instead…
Instead…
Instead…

See and find cockroaches;
- (Which I kill…)

In kitchen for the food…
On the shelves, among books…
Underneath bed, rugs, shoes…

This takes me through time
-proverb in Iran:
- "Go slow, slow come
-to be safe from harm
-of the ant, and its horn! "

Then we laughed
- "It is joke! "

Now, see it different;
-and find it serious!
-Most movements and actions
-can cost life of harmless.
