I wear a mask and you do not
For that right our forefathers had fought,
I believe in your liberties and also your rights
I have read them all and have heard them at different sites.
Those liberties and rights they are also mine
So, please don't curse, threaten, scream and whine,
I wear a mask not only for me, but also for you
I don't want either of us to catch a virus like the flu.
You proudly boast that you never wear a mask
While under our constitutional liberties you bask,
You don't ever worry or care what the doctors say
You never listened to anyone with any sound advice anyway.
The mask that I wear it covers my face
It keeps me protected and safe in my own space,
My beliefs and my rights is how I want to live
And to or from you no virus's do I want to receive or give.
We breathe the same air both you and I
But, unlike you from a virus I don't want to get sick or die,
Your breathing upon others you want to impose
But, my liberty ends, at the tip of my nose.
