Tin Soldiers Poem by Irina Doichinova

Tin Soldiers

In a summer night
After the heat of the day
We are sitting under a murmuring tree
Like children trilled for the first time
Our hands barely touch.
Distant cars roam the empty streets
And you are telling me about your tin soldiers.

The innocence of new love, gently captured. Nicely done!
