Time Spent Together Poem by Gail Grierson

Time Spent Together

One day in the winter
We met in the game;
From that moment forward,
It was never quite the same.

We laughed and we flirted,
The game had begun;
Each day that we met there
Was filled with so much fun.

Our friendship started growing,
A meeting was planned;
One sunshine-filled morning
We walked on the sand.

Time spent together,
Moments to treasure,
Went by so quickly,
But gave me such pleasure.

When we meet again,
And I’m hoping it’s soon;
Perhaps on a weekend,
Some June afternoon.

For I treasure your phone calls,
And love hearing your voice,
But time spent together
Would be my first choice.
