Time Poem by Denaldo Myrie

You cannot revisit the past,
So why punish yourself with it?
You cannot predict the future,
So why be anxious about it?
The memories of the past are just that,
Memories,
Which edit with each remembrance,
The future is the person in front of us,
whose face is unknown,
To say you can speak on his appearance,
Would be absurd,
All we are positive about is right now,
It's coming wait,
here it is and there it went,
When I read that last line is now apart of the past,
These moments are moving at a rate too fast,
To get distracted by one,
Would rob you of the next,
So be present, here, right now,
Because you don't have forever.
