Feeling Lonely Poem by Denaldo Myrie

Feeling Lonely

Rating: 4.9

You never leave me,
even when I need you to,
you just need a friend,
but you're embrace is cold,
you're presence is stifling,
I wish I could hold you,
because you're just as lonely,
but such a touch is deadly,
so you keep your distance,
just close enough to see,
not enough to kill,
only you can survive your poison,
sometimes it gets to you too,
so you get greedy,
you suck souls out of bodies,
whenever you're feeling empty,
such an act gives you temporary peace,
but you long for true affection,
you only stalk the ones you're interested in,
you're that figure in the dark corner,
the sound of silence,
that unsettling feeling,
you're stalking me again,
I need you to disappear,
you only come at my worst,
when I'm alone,
but I know you won't stop,
because you're just as lonely as I am.
