Time Poem by Jeffrey Heathfield

Time

Alarm clock rings away,
A start of another day,
The race has begun,
Time is waiting for no one.

A sad Monday is around again,
The weekend smile is down the river,
Tic toc tic toc,
Enough to create a shiver.

Clock keeps ticking,
As life is dragged along,
Day and night flies by,
Haven't got time is the cry.

Things need to be done yesterday,
What about today?
The future is not far away,
As we blink another day.

Clock has put out a trance,
Sucking everyone in,
Without a song and dance,
The minutes tick, it's so slick.

Human master on the wall,
Punctual, Precise, Obedient and Proud,
Life revolving around it's call,
Tic toc tic toc.
