Till Love’s Our Prime Desire

Our shame is bound for certain hell
Our flesh is bound to die
Unless we have what God would sell
And through His Lamb’s to buy

We need no silver jewel or gold
We’ve nothing God would prize
But with His Son what can’t be sold
He’ll set before our eyes

Treasures no man has heard before
Wonders that no one’s seen
Waiting beyond Salvation’s door
For Jesus’ loving queen

We can’t stay here and climb The Hill
We can’t live lives to sin
We need to learn our self to kill
Through Jesus’ love within

Each deed of love is like a rung
A step in Christ we build
Till each our songs is finally sung
And God’s love house is filled

Belonging to The Chosen Few
Walking in love God’s way
His will we find yet hard to do
Grows easier each day

Where selfish thoughts may lead astray
Where selfish words divide
We’ll find in love life’s wondrous way
We’ll find God’s wing to hide

That righteousness our hearts can fill
Setting our soul on fire
Turning us from our selfish will
Till love’s our prime desire
