Thumbelina Poem by Liza Sud

Thumbelina

Rating: 5.0

In a dress made of fine chintz cotton
you were standing near the window.
And before your mind pages of one score
with the thunder of trumpets were twinkling.

From the squalid, cold and gloomy slum,
Where the bear is going around,
You have come to the world very warm,
ready to enchafe and calefy you.

For the God's Angel Elizabeta
You have left your Demoniatry.
And like a Thumbelina in Walnut
From a blind tyrant-mole you flee.

Nibelungen were hurrying to cop you,
When you jumped in the water to swim.
Only with the Swallow in solar circle
You were saved from their tears for the ring.

You have dropped the ring to the Onego
Like once Norns dropped to the solemn Rhine,
And the water has swallowed forever
All its stiffness of evil and ties.

And now you are just like a kind fairy
put the dreams to the pillows of kids.
And the Ice kings became dumb forever,
Evil demons defeated to thrills.

The next morning a child will wake up -
Topsy-turvydom is outdoors.
And in his soul a song is vibrating
And on this day for you are his songs!
