'I love you', were the three words he never said,
But God swear everyone knew for each other they were made.
She was not a princess but a queen, a knight was what she needed,
To stay always by her side was what he wanted.
An unspoken love that was seen by everyone,
But destiny had something else in store, something that can't be undone.
Lost herself in a battle that she couldn't win,
Lost herself for trying to be worthy of being a queen.
Saw her dying in his arms, and lost a part of him that day too,
The knight lost his heart and now didn't know what to do.
Realization struck late and only when his queen was dead,
'I love you', three words he wished he had said.
